One Team: Plans, Permits and the Build
- Free on-site estimate: we look at your property and talk through how you want to use the new space.
- Engineered blueprints: plans drawn for your lot and your layout.
- Permit expediting: we handle the permit process for you. Plans and permits normally take 4 to 8 weeks.
- Construction: most additions take 8 to 12 weeks after permits are finalized, with one project manager keeping you updated.
- Final walkthrough: we don’t call it done until you’re happy.

How much does a room addition or ADU cost in Austin?
It depends on the size, the layout, the site and your finishes, so we don’t list one price. After a free visit to your property, we give you a written, itemized estimate so you know exactly what is included before anything starts.
How long does an ADU or room addition take?
Engineered plans and permits normally take 4 to 8 weeks. Once permits are finalized, most additions take 8 to 12 weeks to build.
Do you handle the plans and permits?
Yes. We provide engineered blueprints, handle permit expediting and then build the project, so you work with one team from the first sketch to the final walkthrough.
What’s the difference between an ADU, a casita, a guest house and a garage apartment?
They are different names for the same idea: a separate, self-contained living space on your property. We build all of them, as well as garage conversions and in-law suites attached to the main house.
Can you convert my garage into a living space?
Yes. We recently converted a garage in Austin into an in-law suite and added a new bathroom to it.
